All I did was fill out the application and write an essay for the Honors College. I was granted scholarships that covered my entire tuition, which was the main reason I decided to go there, but later found out that my chosen major was totally misrepresented in the catalog and by faculty. I see students on campus that I went to high school with who rarely ever came to school and must have graduated by a miracle, which proves to me it doesn't take much to get in.
